Scope and Contents
Travel files relate to Francis lectures and speeches and attendance at conferences, meetings, workshops, award ceremonies, and research visits. Files include material related to international, national, state, and local travel and task forces, committees, guest teaching, and advisory positions. Major subjects include HIV/AIDS, vaccine research, infectious diseases, safe sex, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), VaxGen, Pasteur Institute, and government policies and hearings. Material includes correspondence, travel documents and administrative records, honoraria and other related financial records, draft presentations, speeches and testimonies, and publications, conference programs, and related ephemera. Folders are labeled with event title, location, and/or date.
