This series consists of the majority of VHS materials in the collection. They have been grouped together as the most accessible format in the collection (other formats do not have playback equipment on site). The largest number of these videos are related directly to the Shanti Project and include tapes of a number of trainings, as well as mini-documentary or slice-of-life portrayals of Shanti clients. There are also a few Shanti-related public service announcements (PSAs), and TV coverage included. Another significant set of materials comes from the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Public service information videos from Pacific Bell and Levi Strauss. There are materials from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), City College of San Francisco (CCSF), and San Francisco General Hospital. Burroughs Wellcome and Kaiser Permanente are represented as are AIDSFILMS from New York and Intermedia of Seattle. There are many unidentified works, a few government sponsored items, television programs, and television news "clippings."

Almost all of these materials are in English and produced in the United States. There are two Japanese produced items, a small number of Spanish items, and one each in Vietnamese, Cantonese, and French.

The series ends with materials from the Sixth International Conference on AIDS held in San Francisco in 1990. In addition to the edited opening and closing ceremony materials that appear in AR-91-19, Sixth International Conference on AIDS Records, there are tapes of the two daily plenary sessions, the rapporteur sessions and the closing session.
