Scope and Contents

From the Series:

The HIV Educators Support Group folder includes an announcement of the founding meeting of the organization and a network resource list, as well as newsletters. The AIDS Educators Network also includes a members list, along with announcements and minutes. The Children's AIDS Network folder contains information on the first two meetings of the network (1989), while the Youth Environment Survey (YES) folder contains information on Project Menu (Methods of Estimating Needle Users at Risk for AIDS) The Black Coalition on AIDS (BCA) folder(s) contains a wide range of information from minutes to handwritten notes, including programs from their first two annual awards dinners, newsletters, position papers and proposals. The African-American Men's Caucus folder consists of four issues of the Chain Links newsletter. The Community United in Response to AIDS/SIDA (CURAS) folder includes information on disputes and controversies within the organization. The Latino Coalition on AIDS/SIDA, contains a wide range of materials including handwritten notes on some of their meetings. The Latino Commission on Aids and the Latino Service Needs within the SF AIDS Service System folders each contain a major report. The National Minority AIDS Council folder contains correspondence with a local Asian American group and copies of the NMAC Update and the T.A.-Technical Assistance Newsletter, as well as the Public Policy Primer. The Urban Indian Health Board folder primarily concerns the need for emergency funds. A directory of religious-based AIDS counselors can be found in the Interreligious Coalition on AIDS Folder, while the Interfaith Conference on AIDS contains the proceedings of their conference held March 21-22, 1987. The Most Holy Redeemer Support Group folder includes a training manual Care for Persons with AIDS/ARC. The Stop AIDS Project has been subdivided into the largest number of individual folders. The Proposal for a National Stop AIDS Resource Center, and the Core Volunteer Training materials were given their own folders because of their discrete nature. The three separate folders containing a Progress Report, Program Statistics, and Project Reports have been combined into a single folder and the final folder holds the remaining items from this organization. The VNA Visiting Nurses Association) San Francisco folder contains only a single flyer about their services.
