Scope and Contents
This series consists of materials related to the actual projects and events administered by or participated in by the National Task Force on AIDS Prevention (NTFAP). These include grant materials, reports, flyers, correspondence, contracts, and MOUs on both major and minor projects, including fundraising events. Some of the major projects documented include: Early Advocacy and Care for HIV (EACH), Educational Models for Community Change (EMC²), and the Risk Reduction Train the Trainer Project (R2T2) funded by the Northern California Grantmakers. Some information on other collaborating organizations can be found among these materials but information can also be found in Series 3 under Affiliated Organizations. Other projects include various research surveys, work on a couple of videos, and the Safer Sex: Hot & Healthy workshops. There is a large sub-series of "Outreach correspondence." Events include both outreach and fundraising events - events organized by NTFAP, and those organized by others in which NTFAP staff participated. These include events honoring Brandy Moore, Essex Hemphill, and Simon Nkoli, the Je Ne Regrette Premier and the Paris Burning event. Outreach and other events include meetings with providers, task forces, connecting black community groups with the FDA, community forums, conferences.
