Scope and Contents
This series contains records from the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF), starting in 1983 when the organization was still known as the AIDS and Kaposi's sarcoma (KSREF) Research and Education Foundation Board. Minutes from Board of Director's meetings make up the bulk of the series. Also included are materials created or collected by the organization's executive directors. These include correspondence, a series of weekly reports to the Board from Pat Christen's first two years as Executive Director, Christen's phone logs from 1989-1993, resumes of the initial staff in 1983, and descriptions and plans of the 10th St, Valencia St, and Van Ness offices. Also present are staff meeting minutes for 1983-1985, management meeting minutes from 1986-1992, and minutes of the Scientific Advisory Committee from 1985-1989. The last half of the Director's records are an integrated set of subject files from 1987-1992, on a wide range of AIDS related topics.
