From the Series:

The Correspondence Series contains 3 cartons of material from 1947 to 2007. Professional correspondence to various universities, individuals, and organizations such as Harvard Medical School and the American Physiological Society is included in the series. Subjects include UCSF’s Physiology department and historical information on mountain climbing and high altitude physiology, among others. Other correspondence is related to orders for instruments, university presses/publishers, and editorial feedback to colleagues. Materials include a proposal for the establishment of a Department of Endocrinology and photographs of Pariacaca (24:10).
