This series consists of background material and records pertaining to Shimp vs. New Jersey Bell, where Donna Shimp sought accommodations for a smoke-free workplace, and for the right to participate equally in AT&T's upgrade and transfer program. It includes evidence including medical evaluations and employee records which have been separated and restricted.

A second group of materials includes the smoking policies and related correspondence of New Jersey Bell and parent company AT&T.
