Scope and Contents

Audiocassette recordings of oral history interviews conducted by Nancy Rockafellar. Interviews include Ralph Kellogg, Richard Gowen (as part of the Margaret Surbeck Oral History Project, including information about instruments), Philip Lee, Roy Maffly, Williams and Heer (as part of the Margaret Surbeck Oral History Project), Bernard Nelson, Lawrence Way, UCSF's Institute for Health Policy Studies roundtable, Diversity in United States Medical Schools series with Julius Krevans, Lloyd Holly Smith, Melvin Grumbach, and UCSF Black Caucus roundtable including Philip Lee, Leon Rosenberg, Margaret Surbeck Board roundtable and Marie Porter, and Fernando Mendoza.

Collection is open for research. The UCSF Archives and Special Collections policy places access restrictions on material with privacy issues for a specific time period from the date of creation.
