Scope and Contents

The smallest series in the collection, this series documents the two years Lee worked at the United States Agency for International Development. as Director, Health Service, Office of Human Resources and Social Development It includes Correspondence, Speeches and Articles written by Lee during these years and is divided into two subseries: Correspondence and Speeches/Articles/Meetings. No official AID correspondence is included in this series, though most of the speeches seem to be directly related to his AID work. There is extensive correspondence with colleagues in California, on a variety of topics of interest, and with various professional organizations. The speeches and articles in this series, for the most part, deal directly with his USAID work and concern international health and health education.
