Reports on State Tobacco Policymaking records
Scope and Contents
The records documenting the Reports on State Tobacco Policymaking consist of annotated drafts, notes, correspondence, audio interviews and interview transcripts used to produce the final state reports as well as the background research including news media, public records requests, reports, primary materials from ballot measure campaigns, and tobacco control organizations and other ephemera and research material related to tobacco control. Also included are copies of tobacco industry documents, often annotated, many of which are on deposit in the Industry Documents Library. These materials have been left in the collection in order to provide context and keep intact the supporting evidence used in the creation of the state reports.
