Herbert Traut collection

Dr. Herbert F. Traut was the chair of UCSF's obstetrics and gynecology department. Dr. Traut helped to develop the Pap smear, a test widely used to detect cancer of the cervix. The records, related to Dr. Traut, were found and transferred to the archives by UCSF's department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences in 2020.
