Abstract This is an artificial collection assembled from a number of different donations of ephemeral materials, acquired by the Library as a part of the AIDS History Project. Paper based materials include flyers, brochures, wallet cards, and posters from the US and international sources. Some artifacts are also included, such as condoms and condom holders. Abstract

Benjamin Libet was a Professor of Physiology at UCSF for nearly 50 years, and conducted research and experiments into the physiological origins of "free will." The collection is comprised mainly of his personal papers - research materials and notes on the brain and behavior, as well as preparatory notes and documentation for his book Mind Time - The Temporal Factor in Consciousness, publshed in 2004.

Abstract

This collection contains the official materials from the Sixth International Conference on AIDS that was held June 20-24, 1990, in San Francisco California. Materials cover the conference from the first pre-announcement in 1988 to the Final Report and "Letters of Appreciation." There is also a small amount of correspondence and ephemera in the collection.
