This subseries contains Hank Tavera's records from 1986 through 1989. Tavera was also co-chair of the Third World AIDS Advisory Task Force during much of this same period. Materials in the series include correspondence, minutes, subject files and incident reports. Tavera's administrative records include memos, client demographics, documents from staff meetings and retreats. His subject files cover a wide variety of client services programs and staffing issues. These include home care, bilingual multicultural specialist, care for the caregiver, consultation, deaf community, food bank, incident reports, layoffs, PWA Advisory committee, departmental reorganization, women's services, and more.
