Lee's early speeches delivered to a variety of audiences including: Rotary Clubs, medical societies, and Seminars. The earliest speech is hand written later ones are typescript. Some folders also include reprints or preprints of published speeches, handwritten notes, multiple drafts or versions of a speech, and correspondence concerning the speech. At least one speech also has photographic illustrations.

The majority of the subseries consists of chronologically arranged files of official DHEW Correspondence (August 1995-December 1968), which is succeeded by alphabetically arranged files covering December 1968-February 1969, labeled "Washington Correspondence."
