Folders include handwritten telephone logbooks kept by John S. James and related notes. Entries often include date and person contacted. Calls discuss meetings, published and unpublished papers, current research, methodologies, anecdotal experiences with treatments, politics, and plans for future articles and ATN activities.

ATN survey folders include completed questionnaires from ATN readers and people with AIDS in the United States, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa regarding HIV/AIDS treatments, AZT, AL 721, Hypericin, and ATN content and newsletter format. Some ATN survey folders include protected health information. These folders are restricted in accordance with HIPAA rules. Material will be reviewed upon request.
